Senator Mike Reichenbach Donates Entire Senate Salary to Local Charities

FLORENCE, SC – For the second year in a row, State Senator Mike Reichenbach (R-Florence) donated his entire Senate salary to local area charities, honoring a key component of his “Contract with the Pee Dee.”

Reichenbach and his wife, Charisse, delivered $1,000 contributions to ten local organizations dedicated to bettering lives in the community.

The recipients of Reichenbach’s donations in 2023 were:

• Resurrection Restoration Center for the Homeless: https://rrcfh.org/             
• American Red Cross: https://www.redcross.org/local/south-carolina/about-us/locations/eastern-sc.html     

Reichenbach said the following about the donations.

“It is a true honor to represent the Pee Dee in the State Senate and it is a responsibility that Charisse and I do not take lightly,” said Reichenbach. “While last year was the first opportunity Charisse and I had to honor the commitment made in our ‘Contract with the Pee Dee’ of donating the entire Senate salary, we are truly blessed to be able to continue this promise by donating to ten local organizations making important, positive impacts on our community. Charisse and I will never forget this job is about public service, and we hope the donations positively serve our neighbors.”
