The future of the Pee Dee depends on continued opportunities for our neighbors to provide for their families. Having created hundreds of jobs in our region and state and having launched "Helping Florence Work" that empowers our schools and students toward rewarding career pathways, Mike understands that the legislature needs to do so much more - including lowering taxes, cutting government regulations, and enhancing technical education - to unleash entrepreneurs to create jobs for years to come.

As a Conservative Republican and political outsider, Mike has offered  a new perspective and approach in Columbia - one based on real-world experience, not establishment political games.

Public Safety

Having served as a commissioned law enforcement officer for over 20 years, Mike knows firsthand that we need to protect and defend our police, sheriff, and other law enforcement officers. That's why Mike has pledged and honored to oppose any effort to defund - or weaken in any way - our law enforcement agencies.



As a Conservative Republican, Mike works tirelessly to ensure our law enforcement officers have the necessary tools and training to best keep them safe during their shifts and return home safely to their families each and every day.

Sanctity of Life

Mike's story began with a scared 14 year-old girl choosing life – Mike’s life, despite being encouraged to have an abortion. Adopted by two loving 

parents who instilled in him the value of faith, family, and hard work - Mike is Christian Conservative who will always stand for the sanctity of life.

As a Conservative Republican, Mike utilizes his personal, pro-life experiences to protect the unborn and strengthen adoption in our state. Mike voted for the strongest pro-life legislation in our state’s history and provided insight on the bill to a national television audience.

2nd Amendment

Our Constitution provides us with inalienable rights, including those to keep and bear arms. Mike has supported legislation to protect our Second Amendment rights.

As a Conservative Republican, proud gun owner, and NRA member, Mike will always protect our Second Amendment rights.

Education

As Senator Tim Scott says, "The closest thing to magic in America is a good education." Regardless of zip code or socioeconomic background, our children deserve the opportunity to a quality and safe education that will prepare them for continued education and/or the jobs of today and the future.

As a Conservative Republican and businessman, Mike knows that competition can lead to improvement and accountability. That is why Mike supports school choice, as well as directing education dollars into the classroom and away from government bureaucracy. And, he has worked  to ensure that CRT remains out of our schools.

Fiscal Responsibility

Our tax dollars must be protected. 

As a Conservative Republican and businessman who has created and managed budgets, Mike knows that state government must do a more responsible job with our tax dollars. No more wasteful spending, backroom deals, and corporate bailouts with our tax dollars.

Infrastructure

As a Conservative Republican, Mike knows that the answer to failing infrastructure will not come from more burdensome taxes on the people.

Rather, through collaboration of local and state governments and agencies, accountability of tax dollars, and priority based on need not politics - an adequately responsive and forward-thinking business model can be implemented to address the infrastructure needs of our community.
